Wellness Wednesdays: It’s time to allow silence to lead

It’s time to allow silence to lead

How often have you been with others and felt the need to fill every space with conversation?  Silence allows us to be present with ourselves and with others.  Sometimes no conversation is the best conversation.

Let’s practice the golden moments of silence.  The effects are tremendous.

  • renewing
  • transforming
  • healing

Our silent thoughts have power which allow us to find and revisit peace.
I am wishing you a week filled with the silence of peace.
Joy and light,
Angela

Wellness Wednesdays: Traveling Time

Traveling Time

Many of us take some time for travel during the summer.  A two hour road trip, a weekend get away or that much saved for excursion can make life seem easier. Let’s remember to collect memories and not so many things.

  • Pay a fair price
  • Dress appropriately
  • Ask before taking pictures
  • Eat locally if possible
  • Learn about the culture and language before visiting.

Have fun and relax.
Share some of your stories.  We are eager to hear about them.
Joy and happy travels,
Angela

Wellness Wednesdays: It’s time to pay it forward

It’s time to pay it forward

We all get busy and sometimes aren’t as mindful as we’d like to be. Let’s place our focus for the week on doing unto others as we’d have them do unto us.

  • smile or even speak when someone passes
  • pull up far enough in that parking space
  • only use the handicapped space if you have a permit
  • say something nice
  • do you really have an assigned seat in church

Have a karma filled week.  What are you adding to the list?
Joy and light,
Angela

Wellness Wednesdays: Are you ready to bounce back?

Are you ready to bounce back?

Resilience is about bouncing back from adversity. Sometimes the recovery seems easier than at other times. Resilience helps us to get on with our lives.
When we are challenged with bouncing back we can try some of the following strategies:

  • Positive self talk
  • Use a sense of humor
  • Concentrate on the best way out
  • Seek out mentors
  • Stand up and do what’s necessary

Resilience may not be easy, but we are stronger and better when we take the steps to bounce back.
Joy and light,
Angela
